ISLAMABAD – Shuttle Train For Workers Of Special Economic Zones. As the second phase of China Pakistan Economic Corridor starts, Allama Iqbal Industrial City has started working in Faisalabad.
According to details, the workers of the special economic zone (SEZ)-Allama Iqbal Industrial City in Faisalabad will have a special shuttle train service. It will run between various nearby areas and the industrial city. Allama Iqbal Industrial City is a prioritised Special Economic Zone of Faisalabad Industrial Development and Management Company (FIEDMC). It is also first SEZ of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
An FIEDMC official told media that this service is part of providing maximum facilities to people working in the SEZ. He said the FIEDMC had completed the initial negotiation with the Pakistan Railway. It will start a shuttle train for labourers and employees who travel from different parts of the city to reach there. He added that under this project four or five new railway stations are also under construction. Mainly used by the labourers and employees of Allama Iqbal Industrial City and M-3 Industrial City.
Meanwhile, he added that FIEDMC had also planned to construct a state of the art hospital. It will have a capacity of 500 beds for various medical treatments. Besides this, a labor colony with all civic facilities is also under construction. Shuttle Train For Workers Of Special Economic Zones.
Approximately, more than Rs 357 billion has been invested here and all investors will enjoy a 10 years tax holiday and plants, machinery, raw material and other equipment will be imported duty-free.
