ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday affirmed a multi-billion rupee relief fund package for various segments of society who are defenseless against the antagonistic effect of the coronavirus flare-up on the nation’s economy.
The fund was affirmed in a gathering led by PM Khan at the Prime Minister Office.
The meeting was attended Chief of the Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, chief of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt Gen Faiz Hameed, government Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan and Adviser to the PM on Finance Dr Hafeez Shaikh. Others who attended the meeting included PM’s adviser on Textile and Commerce Abdul Razak, FBR‘s and PHA‘s chairpersons.
State Bank’s governor of Pakistan Reza Baqir and the provincial finance ministers of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht and Taimur Saleem Khan . They all took part in the meeting via a video link.
