KPK Announces Public Holidays From 24 to 28 March

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government announced public holidays in the province on Monday. The holidays were announced on 23 March by the provincial government from 24 March to 28 March. Intra-district public transport service is also suspended for a week as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.

The rehabilitation, relief and settlement office gave two notifications for the purpose. As per them, public holidays will be seen from March 24 to March 28 all through the province in an attempt to control the flare-up of coronavirus.

The KPK government, which has just suspended public transport in the district for seven days, refused the intra-district transport for the period.

It additionally broadened the conclusion of business sectors, shopping centers and cafés in the region until March 29 and requested that eateries suspend home delivery services as well. The home delivery services were previously allowed.
