German finance minister of Hesse state Thomas Schaefer has taken his life apparently subsequent to turning out to be “profoundly stressed” over how to adapt to the financial aftermath from the coronavirus, state head Volker Bouffier said according to AFP. Schaefer, 54, was found lying dead close to a railroad track on Saturday.
“We are in shock, we are in dismay or above all we are immensely sad,” according to a statement from Bouffier regarding the German finance minister being found dead.
A noticeably shaken Bouffier reviewed that Schaefer, who was Hesse’s finance minister for a long time, had been working “day and night” to help organizations and laborers manage the monetary effect of the pandemic.
“Today we need to accept that he was profoundly stressed,” said Bouffier, who’s a Chancellor Angela Merkel’s close ally . “It’s precisely during this troublesome time that we would have required somebody like him,” he included.
