AJK President meets Army Chief

Rawalpindi – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, on Tuesday, met with Azad Jammu & Kashmir’s President Masood Khan in GHQ Rawalpindi.

According to a press statement by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Masood Khan and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa discussed matters of regional security.

The two also discussed the latest situation in Kashmir, on both sides of the Line of Control (LOC), which divides the disputed Himalayan region between Pakistan and India. ISPR further said that while discussing the situation at LOC, the Army Chief reassured that ‘We will continue our struggle for the support of Kashmiri people.’

The whole region of Jammu and Kashmir has been in troubles since Indian government scrapped away article 370 of their constitution which gave special status to the region. The whole state has also been under a military curfew and a brutal communications lockdown.
