HONG KONG: The pet canine of a coronavirus effected individual in Hong Kong was affirmed to be contaminated with the illness, in a reasonable instance of human-to-creature transmission, specialists stated.

The canine, which has a place with a 60-year-elderly lady patient, had over and again tried “weak positive” for the new coronavirus since Friday. It was isolated at a creature community.

The city’s Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) said rehashed tests recommend the canine — a pomeranian — has “a low-level of disease”.

The AFCD said specialists from colleges and the World Organization for Animal Health have collectively concurred that “it is probably going to be an instance of human-to-creature transmission”. The pomeranian has not indicated any novel coronavirus side effects, it said.

New precautionary measures set up by Hong Kong’s administration last Friday mean all pets tainted with the coronavirus must be isolated for 14 days. Two canines are as of now in confinement.

The other canine in isolation has a place with a second coronavirus patient that tried negative for the infection once and will be tried again before its discharge.
