WASHINGTON DC – US To Follow Japan’s Lead Regarding Tokyo Olympics 2020. There are growing calls from world-wide to postpone the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. US President Donald Trump, on Monday, said the United States would follow Japan’s decision regarding the mega event.

According to details, President Trump announced this via his official Twitter account. He said as follows. “We will be guided by the wishes of Prime Minister Abe of Japan. A great friend of the United States and a man who has done a magnificent job on the Olympic Venue. As to attending the Olympic Games in Japan, he will make the proper decision.”

Trump said that Japan’s decision over it will guide US. This comes amid a global coronavirus pandemic. Meanwhile, countries like Australia and Canada have already quit the event.

Earlier this week, Olympics officials from many countries have called for the postponing of 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The US and Spanish athletics federations have also asked for a postponement. On Friday USA Swimming said they wanted the Games postponed. France’s swimming federation and the Norwegian Olympic Committee also joined the postponing calls.
