PESHAWAR – Pak-Afghan Boarder To Remain Close. The Chaman border between Pakistan and Afghanistan will remain close for another week. This step is in the wake of the coronavirus epidemic.

According to details, an official announced this decision on Monday. The return of the Afghan migrants will also remain suspended. Meanwhile, the health department told that 15,000 individuals have been screened at the Pak-Afghan border. Officials said the Chaman/Spinboldak crossing point would close from Monday. However a second point at Torkhum in the northwest would remain open.

Last week, Pakistan closed one of its two border crossings with Afghanistan. It was for a week to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Pakistan has now a total number of 16 confirmed cases of Coronavirus. Pak-Afghan Boarder To Remain Close.

Pakistan is in between China and Iran, which are both fighting major outbreaks. It is sparking fears about Pakistan’s ability to cope with an epidemic on its own. Government has also suspended all flights to Iran and closed land borders. Durand Line acts as boarder between Pakistan and Afghanistan. It is a 2,400-kilometre (1,500-mile) frontier with Villages straddling the border and mosques and houses having one door in Pakistan and another in Afghanistan.
