The basis for the ban, as reported by UEFA committee is because the financial spending of the club does not validate with the Financial Fair Play Regulations of UEFA.  The code, simply establishes that clubs cannot spend more (on players) than they earn from their sponsors.

This, however has been not followed by Manchester City, who consequently now face a ban. The club has also made a statement saying that it will repeal this with UEFA, looking for the ban to be reverted.

The drama is set to follow and fanatics remain eager to know what will become of their beloved club, and club history.
