TEHRAN – Iran’s FM Condemns Persecution Of Indian Muslims. Foreign Minister Jawad Zarif, on Monday, condemned the atrocities against Indian Muslims in Delhi.

According to details, the foreign minster did this condemnation via his official twitter handle. It said the following. “Iran condemns the wave of organised violence against Indian Muslims. For centuries, Iran has been a friend of India. We urge Indian authorities to ensure the well being of all Indians. And not let senseless thuggery prevail. Path forward lies in peaceful dialogue and rule of law.”

Meanwhile, condemnation of India from Iran is a big diplomatic win for Pakistan. Ever since Zia regime, Iran has been more tilted towards India than Pakistan. Pakistan has also appreciated Foreign Minister’s tweet.

Special Assistant to PM on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, on Tuesday, welcomed the statement of Iranian Foreign Minister Jawad Zarif. He condemned the persecution of Indian Muslims by extremist Hindus.

Dr Firdous, in a series of tweets, said no civilized society or country could support such oppression. The Western world and the Muslims countries needed to take steps for protecting the innocent Indian Muslims. She said the world was united in condemning and raising voice against the genocide of minorities by the Indian government, especially the Muslims.
