JAKARTA – Indonesia Relaxes Its Fiscal Budget. Indonesian President, Joko Widodo, on Tuesday, said that the government wants to relax a limit on the fiscal budget. This statement comes as Indonesia faces financial strains from tackling the spread of coronavirus.
According to details, Widodo said this in a televised address. He said that we have been discussing this in the past few days. Adding that I have met with the Speaker of the House to get political support.
Indonesia is discussing raising the limit of the country’s fiscal deficit from 3pc of gross domestic product. This comes as the government boosts health spending and injects the economic with stimulus.

Indonesia was a Dutch colony for hundreds of years. During World War 2, Japanese forces took control of Indonesia before it finally got independence on August 17, 1945. In 2013, the Dutch government publicly apologised to Indonesia for mass killings by its army in the 1940s war of independence.
