ISLAMABAD – Imran Khan And The Call For A Global Debt Relief. Prime Minister Imran Khan has called on UN and international financial institutions to consider debt relief for developing countries. This will help these countries under high foreign debts to free up funds to fight the virus.
According to details, the prime minister announced this via a video on Sunday night. He said that in the developed world the main dilemma is containing the coronavirus through lockdowns and then dealing with the economic impact.
While in the developing world, apart from containing the virus and dealing with the economic crisis, our biggest worry now is people dying of hunger. There’s a huge discrepancy in the resources available to us in the developing world and the to the developed world.
