ISLAMABAD – Govt To Utilise All Resources To Protect People From Coronavirus. Prime Minister Imran Khan, on Thursday, said that government will utilise all its resources to protect people and economy from coronavirus pandemic.
According to details, the prime minister was talking to National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, who called on him in PMO. Both of them exchanged views about the coronavirus situation in the country. Also discussing the measures government is taking to curb the deadly virus.
PM also pointed out coronavirus spread in Pakistan from Iran. Adding that if chaos spreads and the situation goes out of control, it will be destructive for the whole nation. Adding that the government is in contact with international institutions over the pandemic. Imran said there is need to combat rumours related to coronavirus. Prime Minister said the government cannot move towards complete lockdown as it will directly affect labourers and daily wage workers. “We don’t have resources for a lockdown,” he remarked. Adding that it is very important that people who show symptoms of coronavirus must self-quarantine them. He said the people should also limit their social gatherings for the next one or two months.
