ISLAMABAD – Govt Launches Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Programme. Prime Minister Imran Khan, on Monday, has launched the ‘Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Programme’ for youth in Islamabad.

According to details, it will give 50,000 scholarships to the deserving students of 119 public sector universities across the country.

PM also mentioned that only those nations prosper who take great care of the poor and weak segments of society. Adding that he is particularly happy with this programme. As it is on the roadmap to the Medina model which is the best in the entire world. He said the scholarship programme will enable youth to gain skills and prosper in life.

The PM said the government‘s initiative of shelter homes has also provided relief to the homeless people. “The PM said the government is also planning to provide legal aid to the poor people who cannot afford to hire lawyers to fight cases. Imran highlighted that all the programmes are based on merit and it will help brighten the future of the country. Earlier, Special Assistant to prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Sania Nishtar said Ehsaas  programme is the country’s biggest ever need based scholarship program for the undergraduates. She said 50,000 scholarships will be given each year to the deserving students of 119 public sector universities across the country, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. A total of 200,000 students will benefit from this program.
