15 More Taftan Patients Are Diagnosed With Coronavirus

Karachi – 15 More Taftan Patients Are Diagnosed With Coronavirus. CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah has said that coronavirus cases will likely increase in future. He also announced that 15 more patients who arrived in Sukkur from Taftan are test positive with coronavirus.

According to details, with new cases, the total number of patients in Pakistan rose to 105. Cases in Sindh reaches 88 while 76 cases reported in Sukkur alone. He maintained that the situation is so far under control. He mentioned that 25 people who suffered from the virus are now recovering.

The CM said most of the affected patients had a travel history while the others were relatives of the affected people. Adding that of the 110 cases in Sukkur, 50 are test positive while 60 are negative. He said cases in Sukkur are not alarming but those in Karachi will have strong impact. The chief minister said that the Sindh government had bought 10,000 testing kits with its own resources. “With these kits, we are able to conduct 200 tests each day.”

Earlier, PM Imran Khan chaired a meeting of the National Security Committee. The committee decided that airports in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad will remain open for flight operations. During the meeting Khan directed the authorities to complete all precautionary measures to deal with the coronavirus outbreak. He added it is time when everyone needs to take responsibility and play role to fight against the deadly outbreak.

The PM said that some elements are spreading rumours related to the disease and creating panic among the public. He instructed the officials to take action against such elements.
