WASHINGTON DC – US Warns China Against Her Actions In South China Sea. The United States, on Monday, warned China not to take advantage of the coronavirus pandemic to exert itself in the South China Sea. This comes after Vietnam said Chinese Navy sank a trawler.

According to details by the State Department, China has ramped up self-described research stations in South China sea. These efforts by the Chinese Navy come amid the global focus on fighting the Coronavirus pandemic.

Stop exploiting the distraction or vulnerability of other states to expand its unlawful claims in the South China Sea. This incident is a part of China’s actions to assert unlawful maritime claims in the South China Sea.

Vietnam said last week that a Chinese Coast Guard sunk a Vietnamese fishing boat near the Paracel Islands. Vietnam called in a foreign ministry statement for Beijing to compensate the fishermen. As well as strictly discipline the officers responsible and prevent similar occurrences in the future. The United States also said it was “seriously concerned” about the episode.
