ABU DHABI – PIA To Start Repatriation Flights From UAE. Pakistani ambassador in United Arab Emirates, Ghulam Dastagir has said that Pakistan will begin special flights to repatriate stranded Pakistanis in UAE from April 18.
According to details, the ambassador said that limited flight operation would start soon in coordination with the UAE authorities. The first special PIA flight will take stranded passengers from Dubai to Islamabad on April 18.
After the first flight, there will be more flights from Dubai and Abu Dhabi as well. Ambassador added that there will be top priority for all those Pakistanis who are there in transit. Having expired visas or lost their jobs in the UAE.
“I want to ensure our community members to be patient as repatriation process would start soon,” he urged the public.
Dastagir further said that PIA would start limited flight operation soon. Meanwhile, other airlines including Flydubai, Emirates and Etihad Airways are likely to get permission to operate special flights to different cities in Pakistan.
