According to details, the ambassador expressed these views while addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Monday. PM Special Assistant Dr Zafar Mirza was also present along.
Jing said there are Pakistani Nationals, who are living in China and the Chinese government is in touch with them. The Chinese envoy said that at least 371 people have died of coronavirus. The Chinese government is utilizing all resources to contain the epidemic.
He added the government has also cancelled all events and it is in constant contact with World Health Organization over the matter. “Chinese scientists are trying to develop coronavirus vaccine and we will be able to counter the deadly outbreak soon,” he said.
On the occasion, Health Minister Zafar Mirza claimed there is not a single case of coronavirus in the country. The Pakistani Nationals stuck in China have been urging the government to repatriate them from the virus hit country. Till now, none of the Pakistani Nationals living in China have been infected with the disease. Coronavirus that spread last month from the Chinese City of Wuhan has so far claimed more than 300 lives worldwide. Moreover, thousands have been infected with the disease across the globe.
In view of the epidemic, the World Health Organisation has declared the situation as an emergency. WHO has also called for taking concrete measures to contain the virus.
