ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Deems US-India Air Defence System Deal ‘Disturbing’. Pakistan’s Foreign Office, on Thursday, has objected to the upcoming defence deal between United States and India.

According to details, Foreign Office spokesperson Aisha Farooqui has said that US’s decision to sell air defence weapon system to India as disturbing. Moreover, it will de-stabilise the already volatile security situation in the region. She was addressing a weekly press briefing in Islamabad.

Farooqui added the sale of such dangerous weapons will have negative impacts in the region. Furthermore, she added the defence relations between India and US will result in worsening the security situation in South Asia. Farooqui maintained that the international community is well aware of India’s aggressive policy towards Pakistan and it should take steps to prevent de-stabilization in the region. She also pointed out that India has committed violation at LoC resulting in hundreds of innocent civilians death. She said Pakistan fears that India could carry out a false flag operation on the high-profile visits. While international leaders including Turkuish President Erdogan, US President Donald Trump and the UN secretary general are visiting the region. She said Indian provocations are nothing but to divert global attention from its state terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.

She said that the Armed Forces of Pakistan are fully prepared to give a befitting response to any misadventure from the Indian side.
