Islamabad United ensured that Lahore Qalandars’ festival of Tuesday’s dazzling success was brief. Colin Munro was in fine batting form as United vanquished Qalandars by an incredible 71 runs in their Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 match at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday.

Qalandars, who were pursuing a 199-run target set by United, could just oversee 127 and were full scale with seven balls despite everything remaining.

The obstruction set up by Tuesday’s star Ben Dunk (25 off 15) and Usman Shinwari (30 off 14) was not of much assistance to the Qalandars notwithstanding United’s tight bowling.

Prior, United had completed at 198-3, on account of a 59-ball 87 not out by Munro.

Munro was helped by Luke Ronchi in giving the group a solid beginning, and the two oversaw 103 runs between them before Ronchi was sent back to the pavilion by Mohammad Hafeez toward the beginning of the eleventh over.

Prior, Qalandars had won the toss and selected to handle first.

In their last on February 23, United had crushed Qalandars by one wicket.
