Kings Stunned By Sultans

The Multan Sultans on Friday vanquished Karachi Kings by a 52 runs margin in their Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 fixture at Multan Cricket Stadium.

Prior, the Kings had won the toss and picked to handle first.

Sultans’ Zeeshan Ashraf was the first player to be sent back to the dressing room during the first innings with 23 quick runs put scoreboard by him. In the mean time, Moeen Ali scored 65 runs from 42 balls, before being asked to take a hike in the eleventh over. Skipper Shan Masood likewise crossed the 50 mark, scoring 61 runs from 42 balls before being expelled by CJ Jordan in the seventeenth over.

The Multan Sultans had set a 187-run target for Zalmis in their 20 overs.

Kings’ Babar Azam and Sharjeel Khan were early losses during initial overs, scoring just 13 and 16 runs, respectively. Hales was sent back to the structure for 29 runs while CS Delport was sent back for 8. Captain Imad Wasim was asked to leave for good at 5.

This was second match the Sultans had played at home. On Wednesday, they had made sure about a six-wicket prevail upon Peshawar Zalmi in the primary match of the PSL played at the Multan Stadium.
