MUZAFARABAD – Indian Drone Shot Near LoC By Pakistan Army. Pakistan Armed Forces, on Thursday, shot down an Indian drone in Sankh district along the Line of Control. The drone was violating Pakistan’s airspace over the LoC.

According to details, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced this via a press release. The Indian quadcopter intruded 600 meters inside Pakistan’s territory for conducting surveillance. Pakistani troops aggressively responded to the ‘blatant act’ by shooting down the quadcopter.

ISPR said that such unwarranted acts by Indian Army are clear violation of established norms as well as existing air agreement between two countries. ISPR further added that such steps reflect Indian Army’s consistent disregard to Ceasefire Understanding of 2003.

Tensions have been high along the line of control since last year. This was when Modi government revoked article 370 and 35-A of the Indian constitution. Thus abolishing the special status of India’s only Muslim majority state. New Delhi also bifurcated the state into two Union Territories.
