WASHINGTON – IMF Gears Up For Dealing With Coronavirus. The International Monetary Fund is ready to address the economic challenges posed by the coronavirus outbreak.

According to details, IMF spokesperson Gerry Rice said in a press conference that they have various institutions that could help. While they have yet to receive a request for aid, the institutions have now developed contingency plans.

He further said that economists are worrying  about a slowdown in the global economy. The planning for the April meeting is “under active review,” Rice said, but he added, “We are confident that, whatever the format of the spring meetings will be, that we will have effective meetings… and dialogue with our membership.”
