ISLAMABAD – FO Summons Indian Diplomat Over LOC Ceasefire Violations. Pakistan Foreign Office summoned Indian High Commissioner for Pakistan on Wednesday. This was to lodge a protest over ceasefire violations by India along the Line of Control (LoC).

The said violations injured a 40-year-old in Mandhar village, Nezapir Sector. According to a press release by the Foreign Office, Pakistan lodged a strong protest with Indian High Commissioner. This was for the ceasefire violations by India along the LoC in Nezapir Sector on February 25. Due to firing by the Indian troops, a 40-year-old civilian Muhammad Bashir from Mandhar village sustained serious injuries.

The Indian occupation forces along the LoC and Working Boundary have continuously been targeting civilian populated areas. Meanwhile, India has committed 384 ceasefire violations to date this year, the FO statement read. FO Summons Indian Diplomat Over LOC Ceasefire Violations.

“The deliberate targeting of civilian populated areas is indeed deplorable. It is also contrary to human dignity, international human rights and humanitarian laws. The ceasefire violations by India are a threat to regional peace and security and may lead to a strategic miscalculation,” the FO press release added.
