ISLAMABAD – Country-Wide Lockdown To Extend Till April 30. The federal cabinet has decided to extend lockdown in the country till April 30. Next decision will be according to the situation of the coronavirus spread in the country.
According to details, PM Imran Khan chaired the cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Cabinet approved the lockdown extension keeping in view the coronavirus situation in the country. However, the cabinet has allowed some industries to open during lockdown. This includes the construction industry along with a couple other economic and financial sectors.
Meanwhile, National Coordination Committee will give the final approval of extending the lockdown in its next meeting.
So far, there are 5, 782 confirmed coronavirus cases in the country while 96 deaths have been recorded. At least, 1,378 patients have recovered from the disease. More than 1,500 cases have emerged in Sindh, 2, 826 in Punjab, 800 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 231 in Balochistan, 131 in Islamabad, 233 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 43 cases in Azad Kashmir.
