BEIJING – China has urged the world to acknowledge Pakistan’s efforts against terror financing.
China has expressed satisfaction over visible progress made by Pakistan to strengthen its domestic counter-terrorism financing system. China has also urged world community to recognise and encourage Pakistan’s political will and Pakistan’s active efforts against terror financing.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson Geng Shuang commented on Pakistan’s Action Plan report. The report was discussed during the joint group Financial Action Task Force (FATF) meeting in Beijing.
He hope that the FATF would continue to offer constructive support and assistance to Pakistan. He also hope that FATF will support Pakistan in its continued efforts to improve the counter-terrorism financing system.
Experts believe that Pakistan will soon to be moved out of FATF’s grey list. If happen, would be a huge achievement for the current government who is trying to steer out the country from crippling economic conditions.
