An Indian quadcopter was shot by Pakistan Army on Thursday after it crossed Pakistan’s airspace in Sankh area, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

As indicated by ISPR, the quadcopter “interfered 600 meters into Pakistan’s domain to conduct surveilance”. “This unmitigated demonstration was forcefully reacted to by Pakistan Army troops destroying [the] Indian quadcopter.”

“Such unjustifiable acts by Indian Army are away from of set up standards, existing Air Agreement between two nations and reflect Indian armed force’s predictable negligence to Ceasefire Understanding of 2003,” the ISPR said.

As per military sources, India’s military uses quadcopters for flying photography of Pakistani posts along the LoC as a major aspect of its insight gathering activities and target choice before completing cross-LoC shelling.

A year ago on March 16, the Pakistan Army shotdown a “spying quadcopter” in the Rakhchikri area along the LoC.

That occurrence had come a long time after strains between the different sides heightened after Pakistan had destroyed two Indian Air Force (IAF) planes that disregarded Pakistani airspace following the February 14 assault focusing on Indian security powers in India-involved Kashmir’s Pulwama region.
