ISLAMABAD: Kashmir To Remain A Corner Stone Of Pakistan’s Foreign Policy. Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Kashmir would continue to remain the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy. The foreign Minister said this when held consultative meetings with the Kashmiri leadership.

According to a press release by the Foreign office, the meetings were the follow-up to PM’s meeting with Kashmiri leadership. Imran Khan also gave an address to the Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Kashmir Day.

The Foreign minister met heads of parliamentary parties in AJK, led by Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan. He also met with the All Parties Hurriat Conference (APHC) leadership. Along with Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur.

The Kashmiri leadership acknowledged Pakistan’s unwavering support to the Kashmir cause and Kashmiri people. They appreciated Imran Khan’s efforts for effectively raising the Kashmir dispute at all international forums. Also highlighting gross human rights violations in IOJK by the Indian forces. The foreign minister reassured Pakistan’s firm resolve to stand with the Kashmiris till their right to self-determination. He stressed that solution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council Resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people was imperative. Foreign Minister  underscored that a just and lasting solution to the Kashmir dispute was also essential for durable peace and stability in South Asia.
