Javeria Khan Completes A Century Of T20Is, Only The Fourth Pakistani Woman

Opener Javeria Khan on Sunday turned out to be just the fourth Pakistani lady cricketer to have played in 100 Twenty20 Internationals.

She accomplished the milestone when the Pakistan women team played South Africa Women in their third Group B fixture of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup at Sydney Showground Stadium on Sunday, a public statement gave by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said.

Javeria, the 31-year-old top-order player, drove the Green Shirts after skipper Bismah Maroof was managed out of the competition on Saturday with a messed up thumb.

The record for the most number of T20Is from Pakistan is held by Bismah Maroof, who has wore the national hues in 108 matches. Sana Mir and Nida Dar, with 106 and 101, separately, have the second and third most matches in the organization.
