Hockey Players Start Physical Training At Home

LAHORE: Many national hockey players have begun physical training at their homes to keep up elevated level of fitness for their future selection for future worldwide hockey events once the coronavirus pandemic is at long last managed.

“The players have drawn in themselves in physical training on the directions of head coach of the national side, previous Pakistan captain and Olympian Khawaja Muhammad Junaid and we are certain this training will assist them with maintaining great health,” said Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) secretary Mohammad Asif Bajwa said on Tuesday.

He said the PHF had gotten videos of various players of national hockey team in which they are doing physical training and improving hockey aptitudes through different drills. A portion of the individuals who have sent recordings of their training courses incorporate Umer Bhutta, Ali Shan, Abu Bakar Mahmood, Azfar Yaqoob, Rana Waheed and Ammad Shakeel Butt.

The PHF secretary said it is a positive sign that players are not sitting inert and instead are utilizing their time.
